So, after just 5 days of living in my new house I've managed to almost burn it down. Yes, It was on fire. I was up in my room talking to Steve about his adventure in Africa when I smelled something repulsive. I quickly went downstairs and saw that I had microwaved my metal to go mug...and it was on fire. Damn it! Why don't I know things like "don't put metal in the microwave...!" So I poured buckets of water on the microwave and it went away, thank god...but now we are left wtih a charcoled microwave that I will be paying for. So much for getting my safety deposit back.

Besides the fire episode life in Ashland is great and breathtaking in beauty as always. I'm constantly reminded of the absence of Evan just by being here but I have a feeling things are going to be okay. Cayleigh is moving into my house too so it will be a house of fun...

Hey! That totally sucks and it sounds mighty scary, but I kind of think one must go through something like this when they have a new house. I'm glad you're okay though. I'm sorry I haven't called you back, but I want to be able to REALLY talk to you and the opportunity to do such has, thus far, not arrived. I'm going to canada tomorrow. intense. I'll give you the full update when I get home. By the by, how long has steveo been back from Africa? Bastard who didn't call me and tell me what the african children throught of his seven jeans. Tata for now, Emily.
